Porgy

Other Names: Scup, Maiden, Fair Maid, Ironsides, Northern Porgy

Many of our customers love to porgy fish. They can fish all day for these bundles of energy. It is a lot of fun porgy fishing. We usually chum to get them coming to the boat. We use a custom Captain Sal rig, which uses clam to attract this tasty fish.

Regulations: Porgy regs via NYS DEC May 1- Dec. 31 10” 30 fish. Sept. 1- Oct. 31. 45 fish.
