  Captain Sal and Danny the first mate were amazing, knowledgeable and friendly.  I've been using other charter captains in Montauk for over 20 years.  This was the first time using Moondance Charters.  We limited out on striped Bass.  Great captain and first mate, we had a lot of fun with not only fishing but with the whole experience.  It was five of us fishing, and we all can't wait for the next trip with Capt. Sal and the first mate Danny.

  Had a great time on our annual guys montauk trip with captain Sal and Mike. They put us on the fish and cleaned up. Nice mix of bass, seabass, blues and porgy. Highly recommend booking moondance.

  Captain Sal and Mike the first mate were incredible as always he always knows where to find the fish I had my son and his two friends three 13 year old boys and my girlfriend we caught at least 100 fish of different species and the weather was beautiful.  Everyone is always so helpful I would not Charter with anyone else!!

  5 of us went out with Capt. Sal and Luke. What an incredible experience! Both Sal and Luke were professional, warm, inviting and knowledgeable. The made us feel comfortable immediately and they really know what their doing ! I think they might have been more excited than us when we landed our first tuna! Can’t wait to go back out with these gentleman. If you’re looking for a great fishing experience in Montauk, Moondance is the charter for you!

  “Fish on!”  For 90 minutes last week, that was the chorus shouted from the deck of Captain Sal’s vessel, the Moondance.  Last Friday, I chartered a “magic hour” striped bass trip with my 10 yo son, and it was indeed magical.  Capt. Sal located a massive school of bass near the lighthouse, of which we landed 11, two of which were 40+ lbs AND two of which fit the keeper pocket.  Best of both worlds.  All thanks to Capt. Sal, who can recite Hamlet from memory from the helm as he tracks the fish, and his mate Danny, a gentle giant who kept the lines in the water and my son out of it.  Hoping to book a sequel for blackfish, Sal’s favorite catch, in the near future.

  Our trip with Sal and Mike on Moondance Charters was awesome and a trip that we will never forget! We were a group of five college girls who didn't know a lot about fishing, yet we had the time of our lives! Sal was very knowledgeable about the waters and brought us to places where we were able to catch big bluefish, sea robins, and many more. Mike was terrific as well, constantly assisting us with hooking bait, removing the fish off the hook and he cut up all of the fish for us to bring home! Moondance is the place to go for fishing in Montauk! If you’re an experienced fisher or a first-timer you will not regret this fishing charter!   Every time i go on this Moondance Charters it never lets me down. This Captain Sal is amazing he knows where to go to catch fish. He has no problems to move the boat if we are not getting hits. The mate's he has are very helpful in so many ways and very respectful its like he is part of the guys. I highly recommend this Moondance Charter with Captain Sal You will not be disappointed.......Thank again from the Philly boys
