What Is Included

What to Bring
- High SPF sunblock, a hat, and polarized sunglasses for long offshore days
- Comfortable layers or a light shell since early runs offshore can start cool
- Lunch, snacks, drinks, and a small cooler for anything you want close by
- Seasick plan if needed, such as a patch or pill taken well before departure
Weather and Cancellation
Safety comes first on every Moondance tuna trip. If weather makes it unsafe to leave the dock, we will reschedule your Montauk tuna charter whenever possible. If a new date does not work, your deposit is refunded or applied to a future trip. A 10 day notice is required for any non weather cancellations so the crew has a fair chance to rebook the date.
Target species: seasonal bluefin and yellowfin tuna. We time departures to bait, temp breaks, and local intel to maximize your shot at a trophy tuna.

Cancellation Policy
For all Moondance Charters bookings, safety comes first. In case of inclement weather, we’ll try to reschedule your Montauk fishing charter. If rescheduling isn’t possible, your deposit will be refunded in full or applied to your next trip.
10-day advance notice required.
What to Bring on Your Charter
- Sunblock (always important)
- Layers: shorts, sweats, jeans, rain shell or light coat
- Lunch & small cooler (additional ice/cooler space onboard)
- Beverages / ice, sunglasses, and a baseball hat
- Warm hoody/jacket—Montauk mornings can be chilly
- Seasick meds (patch 6–8 hrs prior; pill at bedtime & 1 hr pre-departure)
- Closed-toe shoes required
- No illegal drugs aboard
Your catch will be cleaned and bagged at the end of the trip by the mate.
